Montco tops 1,800 cases; reports six more deaths
Montgomery County officials and the Office of Public Health on Saturday reported 120 additional individuals who tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the countywide total to 1,815 cases and 68 deaths.
“Sadly, we are reporting today six more deaths due to COVID-19, which underscores the need to continue to protect the most vulnerable as well as ourselves by staying at home,” Commissioners’ Chairwoman Dr. Valerie A. Arkoosh said in a statement.
The deaths included an 84-yearold female, who resided in Ambler; 78-year-old male, 74-year-old male, and 88-year-old female, all of Springfield Township; 71-yearold female, who resided in Plymouth Township, and a 72-year-old male, who resided in Upper Providence Township.
The positive individuals are from 28 municipalities. Sixty-one municipalities have been affected.
The new cases range in age from 2 to 97 years, as follows: (3) 0 – 9, (1) 10 – 19, (11) 20 – 29, (16) 30 – 39, (21) 40 – 49, (16) 50 – 59, (12) 60 – 69, (17) 70 – 79, (14) 80 – 89, (9) 90 - 99. There are 61 females, 59 males. Fourteen are hospitalized, 10 are at home, and 96 cases are unknown.

Montgomery County’s drivethrough COVID-19 testing location at Temple University’s Ambler Campus in Upper Dublin Township is now closed.
Plans for a new testing site on the campus of the Montgomery County Community College in Whitpain Township are currently being finalized, and more information will be released next week.
