St. Luke Lutheran

Gilbertsvi­lle — St. Luke Lutheran Church, invites you to join us for worship at 9:30 a.m. every Sunday via livestream video at www.stlukegilb­ertsville.org. Sunday is the third Sunday of Easter, and, at St. Luke, “Going to Emmaus.” On this day we read about two disciples traveling to Emmaus. While traveling in sadness because of the crucifixio­n, a stranger appears to walk with them. Through scripture and the breaking of the bread the stranger is revealed as Jesus Christ himself. “Now on that same day two disciples were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem…” – Luke 24:13. On Wednesday evenings, we invite you to join us at 7:15, as we livestream “Prayers, Psalms, and Song.” Weekly activities, meetings and rehearsals are canceled. Pottstown — Members and friends of Zion’s United Church of Christ, Hanover and Chestnut Streets, will gather for worship via YouTube

Chinault plans to preach from the sanctuary on “Seeing Jesus on the Way to Emmaus.” Psalm 116 states “I kept on believing when I was completely crushed ... I praised God for all goodness, and God saved us from death.” “Where will we see Jesus today? Will you recognize Him? This is our challenge and the times that try our souls.” Diane Chinault will play “In the Garden” on the flute which follows the theme of our journey with Jesus. Consistory members are calling members to check up on their needs and chat with them as all are happy to contact with those “pew pals” we all miss when we are not gathering on Sunday mornings.

Barto — Due to the Stayat-Home order and non-essential services being closed, Christ Lutheran Church will not be having services in our sanctuary through Sunday,
