Montgomery County officials report COVID-19 deaths top 300
NORRISTOWN » Montgomery County officials and the Office of Public Health Saturday reported 76 additional individuals who tested positive and 13 individuals who died of COVID-19 bringing the countywide total to 4,385 cases and 306 deaths.
“Thanks to the many personal sacrifices made by Montgomery County residents, our new case number from the community have plateaued, but we need to get those numbers to start to trend downward before we begin to relax restrictions,” said Dr. Valerie A. Arkoosh, chairwoman of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. “Please continue to stay home except for essential work or errands. Together, we will beat COVID-19!”
Of the 13 individuals who died of COVID-19, three had been hospitalized, nine resided in longterm care facilities, and their ages ranged from 62-years-old to 94-years-old. Of those individuals, eight were female and five were male.
The 76 positive individuals are from 28 municipalities. Sixty-one municipalities have been affected.

Montgomery County’s drivethrough COVID-19 testing location on the Central Campus of Montgomery County Community College will be closed on Sunday, May 3, for a safety stand down.
The testing site will reopen for the week on Monday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., by appointment only for individuals that meet the required criteria and as testing supplies allow. No treatment will be given on-site.
