Yuengling Hershey’s porter returns
Pottsville brewer’s specialty beer comes in bottles this year
If you couldn’t get enough of Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter or were unable to find the beer during its limited release late last year, you’re in luck.
On Tuesday, Pottsvi l lebased D.G. Yuengling & Son Inc. announced its much sought-after Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter is returning for 2020 and will be available to purchase in bottles for the first time.
The beer is scheduled to arrive instores and ondraft for late September across Yuengling’s entire 22-state distribution footprint and will remain on sale for as long as supplies last, according to a news release.
Debuting in October 2019, Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter was previously available exclusively on tap at the Pottsville-based brewery and select retailers.
The highly anticipated collaboration between Yuengling, America’s oldest operating brewery, and The Hershey Co., the world’s largest manufacturer of chocolate, proved immensely popular in its initial run.
The liquid is derived from the recipe for Yuengling Porter — which itself has a cult following — but adds the unmistakable taste and aroma of real Hershey’s chocolate.
“Last year we were overwhelmed by the excitement and passion expressed by our fans for
our first-ever collaboration beer,” said Jennifer Yuengling, vice president of operations and for D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc.
“We heard our fans and saw consumers, near and far, scrambling to get their hands on a taste of Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter.”

Earlier this month, Yuengling announced plans for a partnership with Molson Coors that will expand the distribution of its beers into more states beginning in 2021.
