PennDOT relocates Pottstown Photo License Center

POTTSTOWN » The Pennsylvan­ia Depar tment of Transporta­tion announced Thursday that the PennDOT Photo License Center at 978 E. High St. will be relocating to 377 E. High St. in Pottstown.

The last day of operation at the 978 E. High St. location will be Saturday, Dec. 12. The center will be closed on Monday, Dec. 14.

The new 377 E. High St. site will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 15 for photo services. Hours of operation for the new location will remain the same: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM and Thursday from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM for photo services.

The Pottstown Photo License Center offers photo services only. Customers in need of a photo must have a current camera card to obtain photo services.

The new location provides an upgrade for customers, with increased parking and better access to more efficientl­y serve the needs of the customers in the area, PennDOT said in a statement.

Driver and vehicle online services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include driver’s license, photo ID and vehicle registrati­on renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registrati­on restoratio­n letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoratio­n fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; and driver exam scheduling. There are no additional fees for using online services. Motorists can check conditions on major roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed informatio­n, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
