-

Stanley J. “Pumpkin” Weglos, Sr., 89, of Dresher, husband of the late Eleanor (Beitler) Weglos, passed away Friday January 1, 2021 at his residence.

Born in Linfield, he was the son of the late Anthony and Sophie (Greszeruk) Weglos.

Stanley served in the US Army during the Korean War. He owned Stan’s Barber Shop in West Chester for 15 years, worked at American Machine & Tool in Royersford as a salesman for 20 years, and at Spring City Knitting as a packer for 14 years. Stan was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in Maple Glen. He loved to watch his kids and grandkids play sports and attended every game. Stanley was also an avid woodworker, creating many great pieces of beautiful furniture. Many of Stanley’s woodworking pieces can be found throughout Upper Dublin township and even out in the Pittsburgh area. There are many Sasquatches lurking around people’s yards bringing them much happiness, all thanks to Stanley.

Surviving are his two sons Stanley J. Weglos, Jr. husband of Karen of Gilbertsville, and Mark Weglos husband of Cathy of Dresher; three grandchildren Alyssa Weglos, Zach Weglos, and Maggie Weglos.

Along with his wife and parents, Stan was predeceased by his brothers Michael, Frank, and Steve Weglos; and his sisters Catherine Vagasky, Hedwig Clark, Mary Landis, Stefi Sikora, and Veronica Lew.
