J.H. White Financial announces name change
Financial planning firm is now Great Oak Wealth Management
NORTH COVENTRY » J.H. White Financial, a financial planning and asset management firm has announced it has changed its name to Great Oak Wealth Management Inc. Founded in 2004 by Jim White, CFP, the company has offices in North Coventry and East Whiteland in Chester County.
The rebranding strategy reflects both the evolution of the company as well as its vision for the future, according to the company. Along with the name change, the company has redesigned its logo and website, which puts the focus on the company’s team approach. The company’s ownership and staff have not changed.
“As part of our focus on the team approach I believe it was appropriate to rebrand the company to more specifically reflect the experience and knowledge our team brings to each and every client. We are very excited about the introduction of our new company name; Great Oak Wealth Management, Inc. because it allows us to better represent our business to our clients,” White, Great Oak Wealth Management CEO, said in a press release.
The significance of the Great Oak in the company’s new name is a reference to the white oak tree found on Great Oak Farm in North Coventry, according to the website. The 350-year-old tree is documented as one of the surviving “Penn’s trees” — trees that were alive when Pennsylvania was founded by European settlers, according to Natural Lands, which announced the preservation of Great Oak Farm in July 2020.
On the Great Oak Wealth Management website, White explains the Great Oak in North Coventry is “sturdy, long-lasting and broad.”
“That matches perfectly with what we’re trying to accomplish with Great Oak Wealth Management,” White said on the site. White grew up in Phoenixville, attended Ursinus College and Penn State University, according to information on the company’s website. He launched J.H. White Financial in 2004 after working for a Fortune 500 company.
