-

Ernest “Ernie” Bouboulis [62], of Stowe, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 11th, 2021 peacefully at his home.

Ernie was born on February 14, 1958 to Georgia (Julie) Laganas and George Bouboulis in Bloomfield, New Jersey. After graduating from Hillsborough High School in 1976, he went on to study Business at Kings College and West Chester University. After graduation, he worked in management of malls, outdoor spaces, and buildings in a variety of roles and firms. Over the past decade, Ernie slowed down and decided to start a new career with a new found passion as a bus driver. He worked at STA for over a decade and loved driving all of his students. He also was a member of the Shiloh-MacCalla Lodge #558, Free and Accepted Masons, Souderton, where he served as Worshipful Master, 2011-2012.

Ernie was a simple man who loved life and all the things that came along with it. He was preceded in death by his father, George and is survived by his mother, Julie (NC)-- with whom he recently reconnected and was grateful. His four children Jessica Bouboulis (Chicago, IL), Denise Bouboulis (NJ), Rebecca Flaherty {James III} (Pottstown, PA), and Matthew Bouboulis {Sarah} (Newark, DE). Through it all, he was most proud to be a grandpop to 3 energetic grandkids: Margaret Flaherty (6), James Flaherty IV (3) and Iris Bouboulis (3) who were the twinkle in his eye.

Ernie was also passionate about baseball, football, collecting memorabilia and was named the unofficial Mayor of Wing Bowl by his friends. He was able to open his own sports store selling memorabilia which had been a lifelong dream of his. Two other dreams he was proud of were the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series and most recently the Kansas City Chiefs winning their first Super Bowl.

A small service will be held at a later date at the Limerick Garden of Memories and in lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in the name of Ernest Bouboulis to the American Diabetes Association.
