Jeanette Fay (Detwiler) Wert

Jeanette Fay (Detwiler) Wert, 84, of Lower Pottsgrove Twp., Pottstown, wife of Larry Dale Wert, died Wednesday January 13, 2021 at Pottstown Hospital Tower Health.

Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clinton Detwiler and the late Florence (Reinert) Detwiler.

Mrs. Wert was a graduate of West Pottsgrove High School. She was employed by the former Stanley G. Flagg as a clerk, and most recently as the secretary of Saint James Lutheran Church, of Pottstown, for 18 years. In addition to being the secretary, she volunteered at the church and was a member of the archive committee. She was an avid Phillies Fan and loved to play BINGO.

Surviving in addition to her husband is one daughter, Sheri L. Boughter, Collegeville; two sons, Larry D. Wert Jr., Pottstown; Kevin L. Wert and his wife Karen, North Wales. One sister, Dorothy Large, Pottstown; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one granddaughter and three sisters.

Funeral services will be private. Officiating will be Reverend Kay Bender-Braun. Burial will be in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Amityville.
