Russell R. “Mouse” Hartman, Jr.

Russell R. “Mouse” Hartman Jr., 87, husband of Edith (McAfee) Hartman, passed away at his home surrounded by family.

Born in Boyertown, he was the son of the late Russell R. Hartman Sr. and Mabel Irene (Schaeffer) Hartman.

Mouse was a little league umpire for 20 plus years in the Boyertown area. He was an avid Flyers fan and had season tickets for many years. Mouse would watch any baseball game he came across as he just loved baseball. He was a Penn State Football fan. He enjoyed going antiquing. Mouse also volunteered at the Salvation Army in Boyertown.

Surviving along with his wife Edith of 64 years, are his children Kevin Hartman, Brenda Fronheiser, wife of Keith, and Lynn Garrison, wife of Thomas; 5 brothers; 6 sisters; grandchildren Megan Behler, wife of Kyle, Tommy Garrison, husband of Jessica, Aja Garrison, and Bo Garrison; great granddaughter Emery Garrison. He is predeceased by his son Robert Hartman, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral home (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525) with Captain Joe and Captain Rebecca officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Boyertown. A visitation will also be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 9:30-11:00AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army of Boyertown (409 S Reading Ave, P.O. Box 254, Boyertown, PA 19512) in Russell’s name.
