Mary Gerhard

Mary LaPella Moyer Treisbach Gerhard, age 94, passed away on February 14, 2021. Born in Norristown, graduated high school there in 1944, and married Paul Moyer, a Pearl Harbor survivor. Mary and Paul had four children, Diane married to Ray Davidson, Nancy formerly married to Gary LaMonda, Andrew married to Lorraine, and David married to Melody.

Mary has nine grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husbands Paul Moyer, Harry Treisbach, and Alan Gerhard, her daughter Diane Davidson, and daughter-in-law Lorraine Moyer.

Mary was a USO Hostess during WWII and an Eastern Star Worthy Matron in Phoenixville and Allentown, where she enjoyed the fellowship and friendship.

Mary worked at Air Products in King of Prussia and Allentown for many years. She was in the choir at work, her church, and at Luther Crest, where she resided upon retirement. She was an active member at the First Presbyterian Church in Allentown where she was a Deacon, Secretary of the Women’s Board, and Bible study leader of the Priscilla Circle. She also volunteered at the Symphony Hall in Allentown.

Mary blessed her family with a long and enduring faith in Jesus and we know she is there now, probably dancing with him, family and friends. Mary was always busy, always happy, and always had a smile for everyone. She will be missed by her family and many others.

Mary will be laid to rest at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens on February 27, 2021 where a graveside memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Allentown.
