OJR’s playoff chase falls short

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 48, OWEN J. ROBERTS 35 » Owen J. Roberts last-ditch effort to qualify for the District 1-6A playoffs fell short in a non-league loss Wednesday afternoon.

A win over the reigning district champions, who are 10th in the power rankings, would have given OJR a points lift Wednesday, but Emily Spratt and Gilbert combined for 26 points as the Bucks took control in the second half.

Timko’s 32-point outing saw her collect 18 of them off 3-point baskets. Cassidy Kropp (11 points) and Tori Bockrath (10) also reached double figures while Mairi Smith (11 rebounds) just missed recording a double-double, finishing with nine points.
