Eileen G. Young

Eileen G. Young, age 97, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in the Manatawny Manor. Born on January 10, 1924 in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Sadie (Goodhart) Good.

Eileen attended Royersford High School, and was a life-long member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Royersford. She retired after a career in soldering electronics from Judson Smith. As an excellent seamstress, there was nothing she could not make or fix. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, and reading, especially history, biography, and archaeology books. She was a dedicated Grandmother, and volunteered for the Pottstown and Spring-Ford School District Grandparent’s reading programs. She had also volunteered as an EMT in the past. She also loved listening to classical and country music.

Eileen is survived by four children, Alfred, husband of Eileen Young of Royersford, PA, Janet, wife of the late Mike Behel of Lafayette, CO, Shirley, wife of Merle Deery of Boyertown, PA, and Thomas, husband of Carol Young of Pottstown, PA; five grandchildren, Michael (Joy) Young, Kimberly Deery, Stephen Deery, Andrew (Stephanie) Young, and Kristin Young; five great-grandchildren, Lauren and Brandon, Rachel and Benjamin, and Kailynn; and one sister, Sylvia Leedom. She was preceded in death by three siblings, William Good, Robert Good, and Dorothy Shaner.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, Pennsylvania on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 am. A private funeral service and burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Bon Homie Adult Day Center, 470 N.
