Mid Penn Bank reopening retail lobbies
In-branch banking resumes April 19, after being closed for a year
Mid Penn Bank plans to reopen all of its retail office lobbies for in-branch banking, effective Monday, April 19.
The lobbies have been closed to walk-in clients since March 17, 2020, in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Branches have continued to provide by-appointment service, but those without appointments have been limited to drive-thru only service.
“Although our delivery methods were altered, we were successful in providing seamless access to financial services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic,” Rory Ritrievi, Mid Penn Bank president and CEO, said in a press release. “We would like to thank our customers for their support during this period, and we look forward to welcoming them back to our lobbies.”
In its announcement Thursday, the bank indicated that as a part of the reopening plan, all offices will continue to follow a sanitization schedule that includes disinfecting high-touch surfaces every 15 minutes and regular electrostatic cleaning.
In addition, Mid Penn Bank will continue to follow all recommended guidance for businesses including requiring masks for employees and customers, the use of Plexiglas dividers between employees and customers, and the use of clear signage to help maintain social distancing. Masks and hand sanitizer will also be available to customers in all locations.
“You have my word that the bank remains sharply focused on the health and safety of its customers and employees as we move to reopen our locations,” Ritrievi added.
Customers can continue to access their accounts online 24/7 through Online and Mobile Banking and through Telebanker.
Headquartered in Millersburg, Mid Penn Bank has total assets of $3 billion and operates 36 locations across 12 counties in Pennsylvania — including one location in Chester, one location in Montgomery, one location in Bucks and four locations in Berks counties.
