Robert “Bob” Clyde Fisher, 72, of Pottstown, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Manor Care in Pottstown. He was the loving husband of Patricia Ann (Leopold) Fisher. The couple married on August 5, 1972.

Bob was born on January 7, 1949 in Pottsville, a son of the late Clyde Elmer and Ann Louise (Calabro) Fisher. He was a graduate of St. Pius X High School. He was chosen to play minor league baseball for the Pirates but instead decided to play football at Staunton Military Academy in Virginia. In 1969, he was drafted into the Army and served a tour in Viet Nam from 19691970. He faithfully served our country for 20 years, retiring in 1989 at the rank of Seargent First Class. His military service included travels to various countries such as Korea, Australia, and Germany; and encompasse­d duty stations across America ranging from New Jersey all the way to Hawaii. After military retirement, he was employed for 20 years with the Department of Correction­s in New Jersey, before retiring in 2010.

Bob attended St. Aloysius Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing and watching the Philadelph­ia Eagles and Phillies. He liked to hunt, fish, and boat. He was a member of the Elks, the German Club, and a social member of Hook & Ladder, Goodwill, and Phillies Fire Companies.

In addition to his wife, Patricia A. Fisher, Bob is survived by two sons: Robert C. Fisher, Jr. of Burnsville, WV and Scott W. Fisher and his wife, Nichole of Chester, VA; five grandchild­ren, Bobby III, Landon, Ava, Jaxson, and Rylee; a brother, Edward F. Fisher and his wife, Diane of Vancleave, MS and three sisters: Mary L. Kaszynski and her husband, Jerry of Hannibal, MO, Margaret A. Williams, wife of the late Frank Williams of Harrisburg, PA and Diane M. Martz and her husband, Richard of Bechtelsvi­lle, PA.

Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, April 12, 2021 in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464 with Father Francesco D’Amico as celebrant. A public viewing will be held in the Gathering Center of St. Aloysius on Monday from 10 to 11am. Bob will be laid to rest in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery, 2440 Conestoga Rd, Chester Springs, PA 19425 on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 11am where military honors will be presented. Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, Inc., Pottstown is honored to serve the family.
