Madeline M. Schadler

Madeline M. Schadler, 77, of Pottstown, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at her residence with her loving husband of 41 years George “Chip” Wayock by her side.

She was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Kocur) Petro.

Madeline worked for Pennhurst State Hospital then for Wernersville State Hospital for 29 years before retiring. She also was a licensed cosmetologist for over 40 years.

Madeline was extremely talented, creative and artistic. She used her creativity for crafts, sewing and decorating inside and outside of her home. She used her talent for gardening and loved spending time in her back yard. Madeline used her artistic ability for writing, drawing and poetry. She enjoyed socializing and shopping for collectibles. Madeline was an avid Pottstown Trojan fan and was ecstatic to see the Eagles Super Bowl victory. The one thing she loved most was spending time with her loving family and friends.

Along with Chip, Madeline is survived by a son, Lester Schadler and wife Trisha. A daughter Joell Gallman and husband Charles. Two grandsons, Tyler and Todd Schadler.

She is predeceased by a brother, Michael Petro and two sisters, Maryann Stone and Barbara Gonzales.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. at St. John’s Byzantine Church located at 301 Cherry St., Pottstown. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 A.M. in the Church. Burial will be in St. John’s Byzantine Cemetery.
