Manufacturing job fair to be held in Pottstown
Montgomery County Community College to host Dec. 2 event
POTTSTOWN » Pennsylvania Career Link Montgomery County, Montgomery County Community college and the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce are hosting a job fair focused on careers in the manufacturing industry.
The event is scheduled for Thursday,
Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North Hall, 16 E. High St. on the Pottstown Campus of Montgomery County Community college.
Attendees at the job fair will have a chance to meet with local manufacturers and to apply on the spot for open positions. Among the participating businesses are: Asher’s Chocolates, Cobham (CAES), Godshall’s, Judson Smith, Ipsen, and PacPro.
Some of the open positions job seekers can apply for include: machine operator, packager, assembler, fabrication mechanic, press operator, and safety technician.
Pre-registration is not required for career seekers.
Manufacturing is a critical industry within Montgomery County’s economy with 1,344 employers, 43,672 employees and an average annual wage of $96,668 according to the PA Department of Labor & Industry’s Center for Workforce Information and Analysis.
