Ambrose R. Malenke, age 91, of Spring City, PA, joined his Father in Heaven on Friday, May 13, 2022. He passed away peacefully in his home, which he built himself 68 years ago.

Born on February 4, 1931, in Parkerford, PA, he was a son of the late William A. and Elsie (Scholl) Malenke.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Doris May (Bortz) Malenke, his second daughter, Pamela, and three siblings, Bette Carroll, First Lt. Bruce Malenke, and Jacob Malenke.

He is survived by three children: daughter Debra Witowski, daughter Cynthia Yeager, (David), son William Malenke (Kim), and two brothers, Parker Ford Malenke and Galen Malenke.

He was a proud “Grandpop” of nine grandchild­ren: Elizabeth, Alexander, Amanda, Benjamin, Ethan, Jordan, Ryan, Kirsten, and Chase; and a “Great Grandpop” of eight great-grandchild­ren: Everly, Jack, Colton, Caiden, Anastasia, Sutton, Tenley, and Summer.

Amby attended Williamson Trade School and worked as a self-employed general contractor under the name of Ambrose R. Malenke Builder for many years. He was an active member of Calvary Bible Church, a faithful family man, avid traveler, and one of the kindest people you’d ever meet. He will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebratio­n of Life service at Grace Valley Fellowship (GVF), 110 Valley Park Road, Phoenixvil­le, PA, on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 10:30 am. Officiatin­g will be Pastor Paul Anderson and Pastor James Bracelin. Burial will follow in the Brownback’s United Church of Christ Cemetery, Spring City, PA. Friends will be received from 9:00-10:15 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made in his name to GVF at the address above, or to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelph­ia, PA 19106.
