Helen Joan Turner
Helen Joan Turner, age 87, wife of the late Charles D. Turner, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2022 at her home. Born on June 2, 1935 in Oaks, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late John and Anne (Biggam) Gebhardt.
She was a faithful member of Green Tree Church of the Brethren. Helen was Past President of Oaks Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, a Life Member of Valley Forge Fire Company. She also belonged
to The American Legion and The VFW, where she spent most evenings with her friends. Helen and her longtime close friend, Harry Hicks, were avid NASCAR Fans. They loved taking trips together to Daytona, Charlotte, and the Poconos. Helen enjoyed helping people and would frequently volunteer to assist in getting people to appointments.
Mrs. Turner is survived by Son, Charles D. (Cathy) Turner of Phoenixville, PA; Sister, Sarah Jane (John) Tyrpin; Two Granddaughters, Ashley Marie (Eldad) Daniel, Amanda Jean Turner; Two Great-grandsons, Abner Zephaniah Daniel and Joash Michael Daniel; and Grand Nephew, Dale R. Kling, Jr. In addition to her parents, Helen was pre-deceased by Husband, Charles D. Turner, Long Time Companion, Harry Hicks, Sister, Dorothy Huber, Sister, Arlene Quay, Sister, Elizabeth Kling, and Sister, Barbara Anne Mossie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service at Green Tree Cemetery, Oaks, Pennsylvania on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 11:00 am. Services are being handled by the CampbellEnnis-Klotzbach Funeral Home.
