The Sunday meal is currently on hiatus. Emmanuel has an ongoing food drive for Operation 143. Formerly known as Operation Backpack, Operation 143 fills the gap of weekend food insecurity of children in our local school districts. Donations of easy-to-open, nonperisha­ble, food items can be placed at any time in the designated cans in the Main Sunday School Room. Emmanuel’s Closet, a ministry that supplies clothing to those in need, is now accepting donations of Spring and Summer clothing, gently used denim jeans (no dress pants, please), sweat pants, sneakers, sandals, and travel-sized toiletries (toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap) for men, women and children. Items may be dropped off during the hours noted above. Scout Troop 1299 meets on Monday at 7 pm. Youth between the ages of 11 and 17 are invited to come and experience a unique handson learning opportunit­y reflecting budding interests and unlocking a world of discovery to forge a path for the future.
