It was a “Celebration of Leadership” when members of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce came together to present the chamber’s annual business awards and recognize the graduates of the newest Leadership Main Line community leadership program.

A total of seven winners in several leadership categories were announced during the June 23 event, which was held at the Philadelphia Country Club in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

Business and community leaders were nominated for the annual awards by chamber members, according to Bernard Dagenais, president and CEO of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce.

“They strengthen our region’s economy, provide jobs and improve the quality of life for our residents,” Dagenais said of the winners.

skills “while giving back to the community through nonprofit project work.”

While participating in the program, the Leadership Main Line class worked on a project. This year’s class effort involved studying and making strategic recommendations to the board of directors of ElderNet, which provides social services to residents of Lower Merion and Narberth who face financial and physical challenges.

“Companies and nonprofits identify and invest in Leadership Main Line participants, who make time to reflect on, develop and hone their skills as leaders,” Dagenais said in a statement. “This year’s class is outstanding.”
