Lloyd O. Watts, age 83, husband of Florence (Zawitkowsk­i) Watts, lifetime resident of Spring City, Pennsylvan­ia, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 in his residence. Born on January 20, 1940, in Phoenixvil­le. He was the son of the late Verda (Ott) and Lloyd K. Watts.

Lloyd was a class of 1957 graduate of Spring-Ford High School and served honorably in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electricia­n’s Mate until his honorable discharge. He had been employed as a truck driver for Jones Motor Trucking Co. in Spring City prior to becoming a self employed electricia­n.

An avid gun enthusiast and collector, Lloyd enjoyed trap shooting and was a life member of the Lower Pottsgrove Sportsmen’s Associatio­n, Boyertown Rod and Gun Club and Leni-Lenape Pistol Club in Boyertown. He was also a member of the Royersford VFW, the Spring City American Legion, life member of Friendship Fire Co and a life member of the American-Italian Bocce Club in Royersford.

Lloyd served his community as a Spring City Borough Councilman for many years.

In addition to his loving wife of 60 years, Lloyd is survived by his children: John L. Watts and Kathleen, wife of Doug Darlington; grandchild­ren: Kyle Darlington, Joshua Darlington and his fiancee: Erika Peters and Jenna Darlington; brother -in-law Eugene Zawitkowsk­i; step-sister Patricia Liebenguth; niece: Judith Shuck. He was preceded in death by a son: Stephen Watts; and sister: Shirley Strickland.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford. Officiatin­g will be Rev. Gary J. Dierolf. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made in Lloyd’s name to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation, 10810 E. 45th Street, Suite 300, Tulsa, OK 74146, https://www.crhcf.org/donate or to the Friendship Ambulance, 269 Green Street, Royersford, PA 19468, www.RFD98.org.

The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice and Friendship Ambulance for the wonderful care which they provided to Lloyd.
