New exhibit opening: ‘The Ladies of Pennypacke­r Mills’

Throughout the exhibit, visitors will learn a more intimate history of each of these amazing women through their personal belongings such as letters, family scrapbooks, photograph­s, and much more.

>> Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 21, through Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, a new exhibit, “The Ladies of Pennypacke­r Mills,” explores the lives of these vibrant, well-educated, and accomplish­ed women whose lives continued beyond the Pennypacke­r family name.

Throughout the exhibit, visitors will learn a more intimate history of each of these amazing women through their personal belongings such as letters, family scrapbooks, photograph­s, and so much more! Please join us in taking a closer look into the lives of the ladies of Pennypacke­r Mills.

The exhibit is located on the second-floor Galleries and is included in all guided tours. All ages are welcome to visit the free exhibition.

Gallery Talk

On Saturday, March 4, and Sunday, March 5, at 1 p.m. there will be an indepth talk about the fascinatin­g lives of the women who called Pennypacke­r Mills home in the 20th century. View the personal belongings of Virginia, Josephine, Anna Maria, and Eliza while listening to an intimate retelling of who these women were, their interests and hobbies, and the impact these ladies had.

The Gallery Talk will be located on the second floor of the Pennypacke­r mansion. All ages are welcome to attend the free talk.
