Corvette Club hosts 43rd Annual In-Vette-Tational in Oley
Celebrating 70 years of America’s legendary vehicles from 1953 to 2023, the Skyline Drive Corvette Club of Reading will host its 43rd annual In-Vette-Tational car show at the Oley Fire Company Fairgrounds on July 15.
Proceeds support four scholarships to local students continuing their education in the automotive field, local veteran’s organizations, high school Jr. Army ROTC programs and other local charities.
Registration will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. The opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. features local high school Jr. ROTC Color Guard and veterans.
Corvettes along with all makes and models of cars and trucks, including antique, custom, classic, Rat Rods and Street Rods are welcome to participate. The cost of registration on the day of the show is $20.
A total of 48 awards in 14 classes, including the Longest Distance Award, will be presented at 1:30 p.m. Award winners will be selected by public vote. Skyline Drive Corvette Club members do not vote on corvette classes.
The rain or shine community event features a Tricky Tray Auction, Loudest Exhaust Competition, live music by 60 Shades of Gray Band and a Berks Sheriff K-9 presentation.
The car show also includes vendors, veteran’s organizations and displays, 50/50, door prizes, and dash plaques.
Food will be provided by the Oley Fire Company Fairgrounds including breakfast sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, hot and cold beverages, deserts, and ice cream.
