Urgent Care Centers for orthopedics now open in Farmington, Glastonbury

FARMINGTON >> Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH), the leading orthopedic specialty group in Greater Hartford, recently launched two Urgent Care Centers to provide urgent orthopedic care for all ages. To support OAH’s mission of providing the highest quality orthopedic care to valued patients in a comprehensive and efficient manner, the Farmington and Glastonbury Urgent Care Centers offer fast, convenient, and specialized care for urgent orthopedic conditions and injuries.

Farmington Urgent Care is located at 499 Farmington Ave.; the Glastonbury location is 345 Western Blvd. Centers are open weekdays from 4:30 to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

The centers are designed to provide same day care for orthopedic conditions requiring immediate attention including sprains and strains, sports injuries, fractures, and dislocations. On-site X-rays and casting are available, and patients will receive priority followup with one of 50 orthopedic specialists.

CEO Timothy Taylor believes that these urgent care centers fulfill a key role for patients in the community, commenting that “Orthopedic Associates of Hartford recognized a need in the greater Hartford area for immediate access for acute orthopedic problems without having to go to an emergency room.
