Chapter to offer Zentangle lesson Sept. 20 at library
WESTHARTFORD>> The West Hartford/Farmington Valley Chapter of the Holistic Moms Network is offering a Zentangle lesson on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Noah Webster Public Library in West Hartford (upstairs Board Room; library will validate parking garage ticket).
Meetings are free and open to the public; there is a $3.50 material fee for the craft.
Zentangle is a new art form for any skill level, often coined as meditative and it is often referred to as “yoga for the mind.”
The Holistic Moms Network is a national nonprofit organization connecting moms who are passionate about holistic health and green living.
“Through monthly meetings our local chapters bring parents together in a nonjudgmental environment that honors their lifestyle and parenting choices,” said the group’s Executive Director Dr. Nancy Massotto. “For new parents who choose to raise their children holistically, having the support of like-minded parents is critical.”
The Holistic Moms Network encourages new moms to trust their instincts, to parent from the heart, and to educate themselves about the pros and cons of all healthcare options.
Through an e-mail discussion loop, members of the group share life-changing information and advice on a variety of topics including pregnancy, breastfeeding, natural childbirth, positive discipline, alternative medicine, and all aspects of green living.
