Witty, romantic comedy ‘Almost Maine’ opens Oct. 28

CHESTER >> The Meeting House Players present John Cariani’s witty, romantic comedy “Almost Maine,” directed by Debbie Alldredge, the production opens Friday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m., at the Meeting House, 4 Liberty St., Chester. Shows continue on Oct. 29 and Nov. 4-5 at 8 p.m., with a matinee Nov. 5 at 2 p.m.

“Almost Maine” is a succession of nine romantic vignettes, set on a cold, clear midwinter night in the mythical town of Almost, ME. As the northern lights drape across the night sky, the residents of Almost find themselves falling in and out of love in unanticipa­ted and often hilarious ways. The ensemble cast features five incredibly talented performers: Sue Kessler, Betsy McHaley, Jacob Nadeau, Hunter Parker and Adam Pipkin. The production is directed by Debbie Alldredge.
