John F. “Jack” McCormack passed away on December 24, 2016, was born on October 22, 1935 and is survived by the love of his life for 57 Years Ann (Monarca) McCormack Son of the late George and Bertha (Butterwort­h) McCormack. He is survived by his sons Michael McCormack of Westbrook, CT, J. Robert McCormack and daughter in law Cris of Dade City, Florida and his daughter Rose Mazzarella and her husband Mike of Portland, CT. He is also survived by his grandchild­ren Matthew and Lauren McCormack, Kevin and Cara McCormack and Michael and Allison Mazzarella and her fiancée Andrew Harris. He also leaves his sister and brother in law Donna (Monarca) and Richard Golub, his brother in law Joe Regan, and his sister in law Louise McCormack, he was pre deceased by his brother in law Sal M. Monarca and he leaves many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was pre deceased by his brother Bernie McCormack, and sisters Kay Rosano and Patricia Regan. He served on the U.S.S. Allen M. Sumner DD-692 from 1957-1958 and attended many ships reunions with his wife Ann for many years, in which he served on the board as an officer and other various positions. He volunteere­d for the Special Olympics and many other organizati­ons through out his life. He retired from Pratt and Whitney in 1995. He was a lifetime member of the Middletown, CT B.P.O.E. Lodge #771 in which he was very active in. His family would like to thank all those who have cared for Jack over the years especially his caregiver Randi. Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 9 A.M. from the D’Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. At St. John Church, Middletown, Burial will be in the family plot in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. In Lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Charity of the Donors Choice.
