Holiday Light Fantasia continues to Jan. 1

HARTFORD >> Now through New Year’s Day, Connecticu­t’s “Holiday Light Fantasia” will continue delight the public with its nightly illuminate­d drive-through display in Goodwin Park at 1130 Maple Avenue in Hartford. With over one million shining lights – the dazzling light show is a benefit for Channel 3 Kids Camp.

One of Connecticu­t’s favorite holiday traditions, “Holiday Light Fantasia” is open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The two-mile show transforms Hartford’s Goodwin Park into a drive-through wonderland of holiday spirit with a beautiful collection of over 1 million lights. Familiar characters, local tributes, and holiday favorites shine bright in larger-than-life illuminate­d scenes and 200 individual displays.

Lighted animations celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s, Three Kings’ Day, and various scenes of Americana.

Holiday Light Fantasia not only shares seasonal cheer, but All proceeds will benefit year-round programs offered at the Channel 3 Kids Camp in Andover and Coventry, Conn., a non-profit 501(c) (3) funded by grants and donations from individual­s, foundation­s and businesses.
