Area college students make dean’s lists
ALBANY, NEW YORK » The University at Albany congratulates more than 3,500 students who were named to the fall 2016 dean’s list, a distinction earned by achieving at least a 3.5 grade-point average. Local students are: Caroline Salafia of Cromwell, Alexandra Clymas of Chester, Erica Bertucio of Cromwell, Michael Brady of Durham and Kelly Carufe of the Ivoryton section of Essex.
Lehigh University
BETHLEHEM, PENNSYLVANIA » Lehigh University has released its fall 2016 dean’s list status, which is awarded to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses. Jeffrey Dicker of Old Saybrook is among the undergraduates honored.
Hamilton College
CLINTON, NEW YORK » Claire V. Curran, daughter of Andrew and Jennifer Curran of Middletown, has been named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College for the 2016 fall semester. To be named, a student must have carried a course load of four or more graded credits throughout the semester with an average of 3.5 or above.
Curran, a first-year student, is a graduate of Middletown High School.
American International College
SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS » American International College has named 495 students to the fall 2016 dean’s list. Full-time students with a gradepoint average between 3.3 and 4.0 make the roll.
Local residents Ashika English of Middletown, Kimberly Grant of Cromwell, Kristen Grant of Cromwell, Kendra Hixon of Clinton and Caitlin Sobolewski of Westbrook were among those honored.
Assumption College
WORCESTER, MASSACHUSETTS » Assumption College has announced that 486 students have been named to undergraduate dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester. To earn a spot, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher for a five-class, 15-credit semester.
