DUKE
AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD MIX • 9 YEARS OLD • MALE • BLACK AND BROWN • SITE: WATERFORD
Duke can live in any size home, including apartments. He would like to live with adults and teens who are gentle and respectful of pets. Duke may like to live with a dog but he has not had much experience with cats. This breed loves to be busy, and Duke is a moderate/high energy kind of dog. He is looking for a home where he can get lots of exercise every day. Visit Duke in Waterford – he may be a great dog for the first time dog owner.
DIAMOND
STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER MIX • 10 YEARS OLD • FEMALE • GREY • SITE: WESTPORT
Diamond can live in a single family home or condo, and she would like to live with kids over 8 years of age. This sweet lady would like to live with another dog but she would prefer a cat free home. Diamond is a relaxed kind of dog who will appreciate lots of time to sleep and lay around. This is a great dog with lots of potential for the family with general type of dog experience.
FIGARO
DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR MIX • 11 YEARS OLD • MALE • ORANGE AND WHITE • SITE: NEWINGTON
This cool cat would enjoy living with other cats and with dogs. Figaro is a quiet and reserved kitty, who would prefer a more peaceful home, with kids over 10 years of age who can be gentle and respectful of pets. This kitty does have some special needs but he still has lots of life to live and love to give. Please ask the adoption counselor to explain when you visit with me in Newington.
TOFU
FEMALES AND 1 MALE • GREY AND WHITE • SITE: NEWINGTON
Tofu is 1 month old and is here with five other small and furry friends. Rats are lively and intelligent rodents who make outstanding pets for people who have the time to give to a pet but a small living space which makes larger pets less than ideal. They are highly trainable, and enjoy an enriched environment with frequent additions of novel items for exploring. Rats are very social: at the minimum you should have two, but three to five of the same sex is even better. Rats are best housed in a large tank with bedding suitable for digging and burrowing with lots of opportunities to get out of the cage and spend time with their humans. With proper care, rats can live about 2-3 years.
