EVERSOURCE SESSION: The City of Middletown will host a public information session with Eversource concerning right-of-way management, Wednesday, March 15 at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 245 deKoven Drive. The goal of the session is to help educate the public on Eversource’s vegetation and right-of-way management best practices used on the transmission corridors here in Connecticut. Representatives from Eversource’s Vegetation Management and Environmental Licensing & Permitting teams will make a presentation and answering questions. Residents are welcome.

STUDENT ART SHOW: The Middletown Public Schools K-12Art Show is an annual exhibit that highlights artwork from Kindergarten students to High School seniors. It is held at Wesleyan University’s Zilkha Gallery at the Center for the Arts. Large numbers visit this popular community event, especially the opening night reception. This year it will be held on Saturday, March 18, 5-7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The exhibit runs from March 18th through the 26th. Hours are 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays. HEALTH AND HEALING: Introduction to Tai Chi & Qigong for Health and Healing will be held March 18, 11 a.m. in the Hubbard Room, Russell Library, 123 Broad Street, Middletown, with Master Teacher David Chandler, who will share the history of Tai Chi, and participants will learn and experience basic principles

CABIN FEVER PROGRAM: The Chatham Historical Society of East Hampton’s next Cabin Fever presentation will be held March 18, 1 p.m. in the East Hampton Library Community Room. Gary O’Neil, a descendant of the Wangunks and family historian, will share the Wangunk story and how they survived in the area. The talk is part of Chatham’s 250th anniversary celebration which will tell the Wangunk story from 1767 until the 1950s.
