This team has yet to have a down year and this year’s team looks to carry on that winning tradition.

“I am cautiously optimistic,” said 13-year coach Trevor Charles. “I am excited about the returning players who have done a lot of work in the off-season to stay in shape and generate more chemistry through indoor leagues. I hope we can be one of the contenders for the state title, but we need to hit the ground running.”

Middletown, which was 19-10 last season, returns five key players: seniors Kevin Richards, Shane Rascati, Jenna Lentini and All-State juniors Jayden Coughlin and Bilal Chapman.
