Richard Marchessau­lt and Alan Thayer of The Purple Carrot in Colebrook, a small private chef service that sources local, seasonal ingredient­s, won the people’s choice award for the most creative chocolates. Their 1950s diner breakfast with a chocolate twist-themed table featured chocolate pancakes with maple blackberry sauce, chocolate egg with almond butter mousse (shown here), chocolate bacon bark with smoked sea salt, chocolate tea, and a yogurt with chocolate and grapefruit with tarragon infused ganache.
