HK doubles up Cromwell

Ben Alonzo and Tyler Popp each had three hits and Owen Marica and Jon Civiello had two each to lead the Haddam-Killingworth baseball team to an 8-4 win Wednesday.

Kyle Aitken picked up the win for H-K. Each team had 14 hits. Luke Matchett had four hits for Cromwell. PORTLAND 5, OLD SAYBROOK 0>> Cole Peterson had three hits and scored twice for Portland.

Austin White and Roland Thivierge each had two RBIs.

Bryan Dinnis pitched six shutout innings with 10 strikeouts to pick up his first high school win.

Brooke La Touché picked up her second victory of the season with a five inning, one hit, eight strikeout performance to lead HaddamKillingworth to a 10-0 win over Cromwell Wednesday.
