Ceceri two-hitter helps Hale-Ray top Portland

Katrina Ceceri tossed a two-hitter and was 2 for 2 with a home run and six RBIs to lead Hale-Ray to a 12-0 win over Portland Monday in Shoreline Conference softball action.

Isabelle Hajek was 2 for 3 (singles), with two runs scored, an RBI and two stolen bases for Hale-Ray (132, 12-1 SLC).

Emma Fantolli double and walked for Portland. MIDDLETOWN 22, NORTHWEST CATHOLIC 4 >> The Blue Dragons rallied from an early 4-1 deficit to up their record to 12-1. Middletown had 18 hits.

Kelsey White had four hits, including two home runs, and drove in five runs. Janelle Franklin had a grand slam and six RBIs.

Rachel Thompson, Brianna Dimartino and Dominique Highsmith had three hits a piece. HADDAM-KILLINGWOR­TH 9, MORGAN 6 >> Ali Halligan had a two-run triple and Ari Masotti walked three times, scored two runs and hit a two-run sacrifice fly.

Syd Chomicz hit a long solo home run for Morgan and scored three runs.

HK pitcher Hannah Theriault (6-0) got the win.

HK is 11-3; Morgan 6-8 NORTH BRANFORD 9, COGNICHAUG 2 >> Julia Haeckle had a two-run single in the 3rd to break the game open.

Olivia Hemstock was 2 for 4 and scored two runs, and Emily Muzyka had a double and two RBIs for North Branford (10-3).

Coginchaug (8-5) was led by Natalie Labasi, who was 2 for 3 with a double and run scored. Alex Grenier was 2 for 4 and Destiny Helmedach 1 for 1 with two walks and an RBI. EAST HAMPTON 15, OLD SAYBROOK 4 >> Lindsay Dickerman had three hits, including a triple and home run, and four RBIs. Sarah Vickery walked three times and two hits, including a home run, and drove in three. Meg McLaughlin had three hits.

Chloe Root had two hits for Old Saybrook

BASEBALL EAST HAMPTON 9, WESTBROOK 1 >> Pat Farren got the win in relief and the Bellringer­s broke the game open with a six-run fourth inning.

Zach Player had a double and two RBIs, Jared Reed three hits, including two doubles, and two RBIs for East Hampton (9-8).
