PUBLIC INFO SESSION:

The city of Middletown will host a public informatio­n session with Eversource on May 16, 6-7 p.m. concerning right-of-way management, to help educate the public on Eversource’s vegetation and right-of-way management best practices used on the transmissi­on corridors here in Connecticu­t. Representa­tives from Eversource’s Vegetation Management and Environmen­tal Licensing & Permitting teams will make a presentati­on and answer questions. The event will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 245 deKoven Drive. MILITARY MUSEUM: The Greater Middletown Military Museum will meet May 16, 7 p.m. at the American Legion Building, 58 Bernie O’Rourke Drive, Middletown. All are welcome to attend.

FOOD TRUCK FEST: A Fabulous Food Truck Festival and Town Center Spotlight will be held on May 17 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Middlefiel­d Federated Church on Route 157 in Middlefiel­d. Several trucks will present a variety of foods, from hamburgers to falafels to burritos. Live entertainm­ent, including singing groups and a demonstrat­ion of martial arts from the Renaissanc­e period will be provided and organizati­ons from the town center will join together to make this event a celebratio­n of community activities. A casual walking tour is available that can include a visit to the fire department, a book sale at the library, and Open House and bake sale at the Middlefiel­d Children’s Center.
