‘The Lion King’ presented by Kidz Konnection in June

CLINTON >> Join Kidz Konnection on Saturday, June 3, for four different opportunit­ies to see “The Lion King.”

On Saturday, June 3, at 12 and 1:30 p.m., Kidz Konnection will provide a 40 minute program of “Lion King Kids” at the Andrews Memorial Town Hall in Clinton. This is a perfect program for the youngster who’s not ready for a full play and is filled with young performers who will sing all the beloved songs of Lion King in a shortened extravagan­za.

Tickets for Lion King Kids are $5 general admission at the door.

Families can also plan an evening with advanced actors performing Lion King, Jr. on the same day, Saturday, June 3 at 5 and 7:30 p.m. The group’s top performers will present the junior musical version to delight audiences for 90 minutes. All the musical’s favorite characters and songs including “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” and “Hakuna Matata” will keep your head bopping and feet tapping. Tickets are $10 general admission at the door for the evening performanc­es.

The 5 p.m. show will feature Aiden Maurais (Clinton) as Mufasa, Ezra van Yperen (Deep River) as Scar, Matthew Law (Branford) as young Simba and Devin Wilke (Clinton) as old Simba. The 7:30 p.m. show will feature Sam Reed (Clinton) as Mufasa, Alix Giannini (Old Saybrook) as Scar, Brayden Esler (Clinton) as young Simba and Dylan Ayer (Clinton) as old Simba.

All tickets will be sold at the door. A portion of the proceeds to be donated to the Make a Wish Foundation.
