Mercy’s Golanksi picks up 300th win

The Mercy girls golf team defeated Lauralton Hall 178-215 Wednesday to improve to 18-0 and give coach Peter Golanski his 300th career win.

Pacing the HK offense was Amanda Minervino who had three hits, including a bases loaded triple and four RBIs.

Also getting 3 hits each was Riley Mroczka, with three hits, including a double and two RBIs. Rachel Senechal chipped in with three hits, scored three runs with an RBI.

Carlee Kirla had three hits for Valley Regional.

The Cougars play at North Branford Friday in an SLC semifinal game. HK is 15-6, Valley 13-8. HALE RAY 16, WESTBROOK 1 >> Winning pitcher Katrina Ceceri was 3 for 4 with two triples, two runs scored and three RBIs.

Skyler Rapuano was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Hale Ray will host Coginchaug Friday in an SLC semifinal.
