Helen (Malcarne) Keeney, 83, of Middletown, beloved wife, mother and grandmothe­r, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born on December 14, 1933 in West Hartford, daughter of the late Olindo and Silvia Malcarne. She attended and graduated from Chester High School with Honors. Prior to her retirement, Helen was employed for many years at the Hartford InsurPius ance Co. She was a faithful communican­t of St. Church X in the Westfield section of Middletown. Helen deeply loved her family and cherished the time spent with them. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her husband, Edward V. Keeney, Sr. of Middletown; a daughter, Cynthia Dezi of New Hartford; a son-in-law, Michael Dezi; a son Michael Dinallo of East Haddam; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Dinallo; four adored grandchild­ren; Gina and Lindsay Dezi; Chelsea and Jocelyn Dinallo. She leaves a stepson, Edward V. Keeney Jr. In addition to her parents, Helen was predecease­d by a sister, Linda Della Rocco, and stepdaught­er, Laura Keeney. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family, Tuesday, June 6, 2017, from 6pm-8pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbur­y. A Mass of Christian Burial celebratin­g Helen’s life will be Wednesday, June 7th at 10am at St. Pius X Church, Westfield St., Middletown.
