The Virzis’ 60th

Joseph and June Virzi of Ansonia celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 3 by renewing their vows at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia with Rev. Steven Krugel officiating. A dinner was held at SBC Brewery in Milford hosted by the couple’s daughters — Laura (David) House of Delaware, Mary Lou Victor of Shelton, Kathleen (Tom) Farrelly of North Haven, Margie (Jeff) Stickles of Coventry, and Donna (Jack) Sennott of Simsbury. Joseph and the former June Persico were married June 8, 1957 in Holy Rosary Church. Joseph operated Virzi Package Store for many years and closed to retire in 2013. June was a teacher’s aide in the Ansonia school system. Both are retired and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren — Nicholas and Christa House, Alicia Molonari, Thomas and Andrea Victor, Robert Farrelly, Valerie, Olivia, Joseph, Julia, Cameron and Ava Stickles, Katherine, Rachel, Brian, Anna and Elizabeth Sennott — and great-grandson Nathan Victor.
