CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENTS

• The West Haven Football Alumni Golf outing will be held at Alling Memorial Golf Course. 7a.m. registration, 8a.m. shotgun start, dinner following at the West Haven Elks Club, open bar, raffle and awards. AUG. 16

• The Rotary Club of East Haven will be hosting the ninth Pasquale “Pat” Romano Memorial at the Alling Memorial GC. Continental breakfast is at 8a.m. and a 9 a.m. starting time. Included with the $100entry fee are 18 holes of golf (including cart) and a steak dinner that will be offered immediately following at Anastasio’s Italian Steak House in East Haven. Nominal prizes will be awarded and a 50⁄50 raffle will be held. • The 22nd Annual Franciscan Golf Classic will be held at Tunxis Plantation Golf Club Farmington. This annual event benefits the programs and services of the Franciscan Life Center and Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care. The day includes 18holes of golf, lunch on the course, an outdoor dinner, and four chances to win a hole in one: $22,000in cash, a trip for two to St. Andrews, a trip for two to Augusta National and a 2018Hyundai Sonata. • The Orange Economic Development Corporation 11th Anniversary Golf Tournament will be held at Orange Hills Country Club. Check-in begins at 11a.m. at the clubhouse, where players will receive tournament gifts, can purchase raffle tickets, and have lunch while waiting for the shotgun start at noon sharp. Chair massages will also be provided during this time. Entry fee is $175per golfer and includes 18Holes of golf with cart, tournament gift, snacks and drinks on the course, contests, dinner at Orange Ale House, massages, awards and raffle prizes. • The St. Johns 15th Annual Tournament in memory of Ron Maynard will be held at Lyman Orchards Golf Club,-Gary Player Course, with proceeds going to the Emergency Energy Assistance Funds of North Haven, Hamden, North Branford, and Wallingford. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 9:30a.m. (scramble format). The $140entry fee includes 18holes of golf with cart, lunch at the turn, buffet dinner, nominal awards, and raffles.
