Enjoy the Big E

Two bus trips will be available to the Big E in Springfield, Massachusetts, on Sept. 17 (Storrowtown Day) and Sept. 20 (Connecticut Day). Trip helps animals

Abandoned Animals Inc. is offering a bus trip to Mohegan Sun casino Oct. 7. Cost is $35 per person and includes a buffet voucher, betting voucher and driver gratuity. There will be snacks and a free raffle on the bus, as well as a 50-50 drawing.

Bus leaves McDonald’s parking lot in the Hamden Mart, 2320 Dixwell Ave. in Hamden, at 11 a.m. and will leave the casino at 5:30 p.m.

Abandoned Animals rescues abandoned, neglected and unwanted animals and provides food, shelter and medical care, as well as trying to find them forever homes.

Casino trips set

The East Haven Senior Center and Pearls of Pauline are cosponsoring trips to Foxwoods Resort Casino Sept. 6, Oct. 4, Nov. 8 and Dec. 6.

Cost is $25 per person and includes round-trip motorcoach transportation, casino package ($10 slot play and food voucher for free buffet or $10 in any food vendor), and driver’s tip. Bingo on your own.

Coach departs from the senior center at 7:30 a.m. with a pick-up in Madison at 8 a.m.
