Woodward earns meritorious service award
HAMDEN » Keith Woodward of Durham, associate vice president for facilities operations at Quinnipiac University, recently received the 2017 Meritorious Service Award from APPA Leadership in Educational Facilities at APPA’s annual conference in San Francisco.
“Each year APPA bestows the Meritorious Service Award upon no more than three members who have made significant, life-long contributions to the profession of education facilities management,” said Paul Wuebold, vice president for APPA’s Professional Affairs Committee and chair of the Awards and Recognitions Committee. “Keith is well recognized throughout the Eastern Region of APPA (ERAPPA) and APPA for his thoughtful insight and counsel. His outside-the-box thinking introduces new perspectives to the challenges facing educational facilities management.”
Woodward has been a member of the Southern New England APPA chapter since 1989 and involved in chapter, regional and international APPA committees and boards since 2000. He is a past president and perennial conference presenter at ERAPPA, a former ERAPPA representative to the APPA board, a fixture at the Thought Leaders Symposium, and a member of the APPA Annual Conference Planning Committee. In 2016 Woodward received the Rex Dillow Award from APPA for his article “Facilities and School Security.”
