Unions increase visibility, engender returns on investment

- KEVIN WILHELM

MIDDLETOWN — When I think of partnership, I think about a relationship, professional or personal, where both parties work together toward a shared goal or interest. At Middlesex United Way, we are lucky that our partnerships work as both: professional goals being assisted by means of advertising and personal goals fulfilled by way of giving back to our community.

We are excited to be reaching out, looking to build more of these partnerships, and hope this may be the opportunity many local businesses and organizations have been looking for.

We partner with a wide variety of businesses across Middlesex County. These various businesses are committed to creating an impact and improving lives in our community. Through our corporate sponsorship program, businesses are able to provide Middlesex United Way with a single donation used to support its special events, campaign materials and marketing programs.

By local businesses partnering with Middlesex United Way through our corporate sponsorship program, our community is greatly benefited, as well as participating businesses. With money raised from corporate donations, United Way can cover our marketing and fundraising costs, allowing us to distribute every dollar more efficiently. In return, our corporate sponsors support is promoted through year-round advertising methods. These methods include recognition via online advertising, email messages and newspaper advertising.

Current partners in our sponsorship program receive increased visibility and a return on investment. Serving as a liaison, Middlesex United Way connects our corporate sponsors to the public. We are able to reach more than 6,000 loyal donors and volunteers. Sponsorship packages provide tangible impressions and measure media values.

Middlesex United Way is an organization many rely on and many more recognize and respect. Through rigorous auditing processes and checks and balances, we ensure that we put as much of every dollar possible to deserving and successful organizations. By partnering with us, you can rest assured that your brand will be highly visible and will reach a great number of fellow community-oriented customers and clients.

The corporate sponsorship program is broken down into four different levels, allowing companies to give within their means. Our highest level, platinum, starts at a $7,500 donation, and key features include a halfpage spread advertisement and logo placement on our website. Other levels, gold, silver and bronze, use the company’s name and logo on various vessels. All levels of sponsorship will receive their logo and company profile on United Way website and a yearend sponsorship summary.

Any and all donations help the United Way continue on our mission, and our corporate sponsorship program gives businesses the opportunity to not only be philanthropic, but also reach a wide and diverse audience. When you partner with us, you contribute to long-term solutions that benefit everyone.
