Quinnipiac allows late goal, ties Harvard

Harvard’s Ryan Donato scored with under four minutes remaining in the third period as the Quinnipiac men’s hockey team was forced to settle for a 2-2 ECAC Hockey tie at the BrightLand­ry Hockey Center in Cambridge, Massachuse­tts on Saturday.

Chase Priskie, who had a goal and an assist, gave the Bobcats a 2-1 lead on a power-play goal at 18:28 of the second period. Odeen Tufto added two assists for the Bobcats (8-12-3, 4-7-2 ECAC).

Keith Petruzelli had 31 saves for the Bobcats. Merrick Madsen made 28 saves for Harvard (86-3, 7-3-1 ECAC).

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Albertus Magnuis 84, Emmanuel 68: Jaqhawn Walters

had 27 points, 14 rebounds and five assists and Amir Maddred added a career-high 24 points and eight rebounds to lead the Falcons to their Great Northeast Athletic Conference win in Boston.

Jahmerikah Green-Younger added 15 points for the Falcons (9-3, 6-0). Joe Tamburro had 21 points for Emmanuel (1-13, 0-5). Stonehill 96, Southern Connecticu­t 80: Brandon Twitty had 34 points and five steals and Will Moreton added 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Skyhawks (9-7, 5-5) to their Northeast-10 Conference win in New Haven. erry Luckett Jr. had 31 points and nine rebounds and Isaiah McLeod added 17 points for the Owls (7-8, 4-6). New Haven 87, Bentley 84: Danny Upchurch had 25 points, four rebounds and three steals and Elijay Bailey added 24 points and four rebounds to lead the Chargers to their NE-10 win in West Haven.

Roy Kane Jr. added 15 points and six rebounds for the Chargers (9-6, 6-4). Ryan Richmomnd had 27 points for Bentley (9-7, 6-5).

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Quinnipiac 86, Saint Peter’s

39: At Hamden, Jen Fay had 14 points and five rebounds and Jaden Ward added 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals to lead the Bobcats to their seventh win in a row. The 47-point win was Quinnipiac's largest margin of victory since becoming a Division I program in 1998-99. Paige Warfel added a career-high 12 rebounds for the Bobcats (12-5, 6-0).

Stonehill 63, Southern Connecticu­t 52: Samantha Hyslip had 17 points and 15 rebounds and Kelly Martin added 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Skyhawks (13-2, 9-1) to their NE-10 win in New Haven. Abby Hurlbert had 16 points and Kiana Steinauer added 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Owls (12-6, 6-4). Bentley 82, New Haven 70: Victoria Lux had 22 points and 13 rebounds and Becca Musgrove added 15 points to lead Bentley (16-1, 10-1) to its NE-10 win in West Haven. Alexandria Kerr had 27 points and six rebounds for the Chargers (7-8, 3-7). Suffolk 70, Albertus Magnus 54: Georgia Bourikas had 20 points and 13 rebounds and Alexis Hackett added 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead Suffolk (11-2, 4-0) to its GNAC win in Boston. The win snapped the Falcons’ six-game win streak. Angelina Piccirillo had 13 points for the Falcons (9-4, 3-2).

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

Quinnipiac 2, Brown 1: Kenzie Lancaster scored at 15:43 of the second period and Melissa Samoskevic­h scored at 17:44 of the second period to give the Bobcats a 2-0 lead as they held on for an ECAC win in Hamden. Abbie Ives had 23 saves for the Bobcats (13-11-2, 9-7). Bridget Carey scored for Brown (2-17, 1-11) at 18:33 of the second period.

Princeton 3, Yale 0: Carly Bullock scored twice to lead the Tigers to their ECAC win in Princeton, N,.J. Stephanie Neatby had 21 saves for the Tigers (810-4, 7-8-1). Tera Hofmann and Gianna Meloni combined for 28 saves for the Bulldogs (5-10-4, 3-7-2).
