Presentati­on set for trip to China

A presentati­on will be held at 5:30 p.m. March 12 at the ACES ECA Arts Hall, 55 Audubon St. in New Haven, about an an exclusive transnatio­nal arts and culture tour to China scheduled May 14-27, 2019.

Cost of the trip is $4,550 per person, double occupancy. Trip is all inclusive and includes stops in Suzhou, Chengdu, Xian, Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong, with an optional extended stay in Hong Kong through May 29.

Head to Mohegan

Holar Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia, is offering a trip to Mohegan Sun Casino March 12.

Tickets are $30 per person and include a $30 give-back for gambling and dining.

Bus will leave the church at 8:25 a.m. and leaves the casino at 4 p.m.

Rooms with a view on Niagara tour

A 4-day tour to Niagara Falls will depart May 29 and will include 3 nights at the Embassy Suites with fallsview rooms. Tenement Museum in NYC

Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University will offer a bus trip to the Lower East Side Tenement Museum In New York City Feb. 23.

Ryan Mahoney, executive director of the museum, will lead the trip. The bus will depart Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum at 7 a.m.

At the Tenement Museum, visitors will have the opportunit­y to see how the Irish lived upon arrival in the United States through the “Irish Outsiders” tour. There also will be time to explore the area and for lunch, followed by a visit to Battery Park to see the Irish Hunger Memorial and learn about its intricacie­s from artist Brian Tolle.

The bus will depart Battery Park at 3 p.m. and return to Hamden by 6.

Casino trips set

The East Haven Senior Center and Pearls of Pauline are cosponsori­ng several trips to Foxwoods Resort Casino, set for March 7, April 11 and May 9.

Cost is $25 per person and includes round-trip motorcoach transporta­tion, casino package ($10 slot play and food voucher for free buffet or $10 in any food vendor), and driver’s tip. Bingo on your own.

Coach departs from the senior center at 7:30 a.m. with a pick-up in Madison at 8 a.m.
