⏩ A win today would be the 100th since juniors Napheesa Collier and Katie Lou Samuelson have arrived. It would be the second straight class to win 100 games in just 101 tries after seniors Kia Nurse and Gabby Williams accomplished the feat last season. They are also closing in on becoming the 11th set of UConn classmates to combine for 3,000 career points. Nurse and Williams are just 12 points away, while Collier and Samuelson need 79 points to become the second to accomplish the feat as juniors, joining Breanna Stewart and Moriah Jefferson.

⏩ Temple senior and former Career High star Tanaya Atkinson needs nine rebounds to become the second Temple player with at least 1,000 career rebounds. Atkinson has already set a Temple program record with 208 free throws attempted this season. If she makes two foul shots against the Huskies, she will set a single season program record with 148 made free throws. Speaking of rebounding milestones, UConn’s Williams needs three offensive rebounds to become the 11th UConn player with 300.

⏩ Freshmen Megan Walker and Mikayla Coombs combined for 28 points the last time UConn faced Temple. Walker became the first UConn freshman since Tiffany Hayes in 2009 to have a game with at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists in a game. With this being the first of three straight games against unranked opponents, it is a chance for UConn’s freshmen to get some more playing time. Temple’s Mia Davis could use the game to continue her push to be the American Athletic Conference’s Freshman of the Year. Davis, who is averaging 15.8 points and 7.8 rebounds in four games against ranked opponents, had 19 points in Temple’s home loss to the Huskies on Jan. 21.
