⏩ Guessing Kevin Ollie’s starting lineups has become a great mystery. He’s used 17 different lineups in 25 games and hasn’t used the same lineup in consecutive games since Jan. 25-28 (SMU and Temple). After heaping praise on sophomore Kwintin Williams’ energy and effort in a loss at Wichita State on Feb. 10, it appeared Williams was in line for more minutes against Tulsa five days later. Instead, he played just four minutes (all in the first half) and was the last scholarship player off the bench. Even Eric Cobb, in his first game back since a month-long suspension for an animated shouting match with Ollie, entered the game before Williams.

⏩ UConn barely got past ECU in their first matchup on Jan. 6 at the XL Center. B.J. Tyson’s 3-pointer in the waning seconds was off the mark, and Tyler Polley hit a couple of free throws to clinch a 70-65 victory. Tyson is the second all-time leading scorer in AAC history, trailing just Houston’s Rob Gray, Jr. Guard Shawn Williams is the league’s top freshman scorer this season, averaging 11.6 points per game overall and 14.3 in league play.
