Spring Glen section of Hamden is ‘near and dear’ to Realtor
Cheri Paulsen strongly believes that in order to achieve success as a Realtor, it is critically important to take a two-part approach.
For Paulsen, this approach involves combining the use of “professional photography, attention-grabbing text, and a plethora of short and long-term media sources” with good, old-fashioned networking.
“After being in this business for 16 years, I know the importance of talking with my network of fellow agents,” she said. “Picking up the phone and talking to agents I know and work with is just as important.”
Paulsen explained that her patience, attention to detail and technology skills also enable her to provide clear and focused direction to her customers throughout the buying and selling process.
“We have to be educators, coaches, negotiators and cheerleaders to our clients,” she said. “It’s a partnership that has to focus on getting to our clients’ end goal.”
Paulsen stays on top of her game by pursuing continuing education opportunities and attending industry events on a regular basis. She is also a Certified Residential Specialist, a designation earned by taking a required amount of classes and performing at a certain level.
Paulsen also enjoys the opportunity to promote her love for Connecticut and all it has to offer. She explained that the state’s natural beauty and abundant offerings strengthen her ability to sell property, particularly to individuals seeking to relocate from other areas.
“I love living in Connecticut. It offers beautiful fall foliage and great homemade ice cream and is close to New England beaches and winter ski options,” she said.
Paulsen said that her career has provided many benefits along the way, but the most rewarding aspect of her position is to see her client’s smiles at the closing.
“Moving is an emotional process, so to see that excitement, relief, and satisfaction that a client has at the end of the process makes it all worthwhile,” she said.
